Dear Camp Lenox Parents,

A Summer We’ll Never Forget

It is hard to believe how quickly seven weeks can pass. It feels like just yesterday that the buses pulled in, the bunks filled with excitement, and another summer at Lenox began. Somehow, those first-day hellos have turned into friendships, traditions, inside jokes, and memories that will stay with us long after everyone leaves the Berkshires.

Over these seven weeks, we have watched our campers compete, explore, create, grow, laugh, and make memories together. We celebrated incredible tournament victories, including unforgettable wins at the Classic and Pittsfield 11, cheered through Sava League and Twilight League, traveled near and far on Big Trips, and spent beautiful summer days on Shaw Pond. We celebrated Camp Lenox’s 109th birthday, shared a meaningful Visiting Day with all of you, gathered around the Coach Moss Campfire, and experienced the traditions that continue to connect generations of Lenox campers.

And then came Color War 2026. What began with a medieval wedding, horses, unexpected surprises, fireworks, and the reveal of our generals became four unforgettable days of competition and Lenox spirit. General Austin Bergen led the Orange Marauders, while General Rachel Grandis led the Black Battalion through a Color War filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, determination, and heart. From Trifecta and Tug-of-War to Rope Burn and Around the Bases, every event brought the entire camp together. In one of the closest finishes in Lenox history, the Black Battalion ultimately took the victory, bringing an incredible Color War to a close.

But when we look back on Summer 2026, it will not only be the big events or victories that we remember. It will be the thousands of little moments in between — the laughter coming from the bunks, dancing in the dining hall, cheering from the sidelines, friendships formed across camp, sunsets over Shaw Pond, songs around the campfire, and the feeling of simply being together.

As the trunks are packed and the bunks begin to empty, we are reminded of what makes this place so difficult to leave. Camp may only last a few weeks, but the friendships, traditions, and memories created here become part of us long after the summer ends.

Thank you to our campers for filling Lenox with energy, kindness, laughter, and spirit every single day, and thank you to our families for trusting us with another extraordinary summer.

Summer 2026 will always be part of the Lenox story and we are so grateful we got to share it together.

Until next summer.
